The renowned Shri Anjaneya Swami Temple is situated in the Choudlu village of Somwarpet taluk Kodagu district.

It is a place of worship for thousands of people in the surrounding region. This temple has been in existence since 1942. At present, the old temple building is in ruined state. Hence the Temple Committee, Jeernodhara Samithi and seniors of the village have decided to build a grand new temple building comprising GarbaGudi, Sabangam and Gopuram.

Bhoomi Puja for the temple was done on the 27th of February 2020 and construction of Garbagudi was completed within a year of construction, marking an astounding progress. Sabanganam construction has been mostly completed and have currently begun with the Gopuram construction.

Religious places play an important role in shaping the divine life of individuals in the interest of society. Reconstruction of temple is paramount.
